I came across this set a few years ago when I started collecting Gloria Swanson items. I’ve forever been a fan of “Sunset Boulevard”, but after reading her autobiography, “Swanson on Swanson”, I realized just what an INCREDIBLE woman she actually was. In every aspect of her life, she had conquered the world! She is one of those people you wish you could go back in time to meet, talk, and go through her closets!

I won’t personally write a biography here, but a few good links to check out are:
An Inventory of Her Papers at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center
The Gloria Swanson Tribute Site
Glorius Gloria
The circa 1950’s set above is from her Fashion Knits For You. It contains a beaded cardigan sweater, pleated skirt, matching belt, and all original packaging. The box is one of those really rare items you hardly ever come across! I haven’t put it up for sale anywhere as we speak, but soon.
I will be implementing NEW
special monthly sales in a few days.
I tested out a Happy Friday sale a few days ago, where everything in a specific category was 50% off, but nobody took advantage of the offer.
So, I’m asking you–the buyers–what types of sales would you take advantage of?
You may either leave a comment here, or email me privately.
HAPPY FRIDAY SALE!

EVERYTHING in the **VINTAGE SEPARATES** section is 50% off!

I collect Wild Pair shoes from the 70’s and 80’s. I bought these 80’s gems a few years back, even though they were not my size.
But I’m downsizing, albeit slowly, a lot of my personal collection–>wearables and other artifacts. Unless I have something personal connected to an item, I’ve realized I can let things go.
There is a Facebook app called Shoes! I was searching around it one day, and came across a pair of (my fave) Christian Louboutin’s. (Hey, what’s up this week with all of the Christian’s?) Anyway, I was all like, “Huh? What?”!
These are what I saw….
Christian Louboutin’s Bloody Mary’s. At first glance, I thought they were complete knock offs. But then I saw they were snake skin, and not so ankle bootie height. But still…..you decide.
You can buy the Wild Pair shoes for $175 at Market Publique

The moment I spotted this jacket , it called out to me. Actually, it screamed, “BUY ME, THEN LET IT SIT IN YOUR PERSONAL CLOSET FOR A YEAR!” I have had all intentions of wearing it, but that day has never come…and my darling husband doesn’t want me to. (Believe you/me, he does not care one slightest about my eccentric wardrobe, but this one kinda drew the line…boooooo!)
Let’s however, get back to the title track. Christian Siriano–whom I loved and adored on “Project Runway”. Is this not him?
You can either bid or buy it at Market Publique
